Usually, it takes me quite awhile to get going, and even more to make me angry, depending on the issue. But when you have hatemongers on the air waves, and they collect a pay check from Clear Channel, you might be tempted to just dismiss them out of hand, since anything they broadcast is GOP/Rethug schill. Until today.
Calling for the rape of a four-year old child and offering $500 dollars to any fool to call into your radio show with information goes beyond the pale and that's putting it mildly.
Apparently, the FCC allows any douchebag their own radio show these days. It explains why the execrable Don Imus is still gracing the airwaves. But for a pair of dirtbags known as Star and BucWild, their racist invective, complete with promoting, broadcasting, whatever about doing sexual acts on a four year old, is beyond entertainment radio, or anything that passes for it. Have we become so inured to the insane that we no longer raise an eyebrow any more? God Forbid!
Here's the link to this crap: http://breitbart.wordpress.com/...
I understand one of the doucebags, Star, has been fired. But that's not enough; this show needs to be pulled from the airwaves, and we need to start hitting Clear Channel where they live - IN THEIR WALLETS. No more advertising, no more anything that gives the Clear Channel CEO a fat paycheck.
We know Clear Channel. They're the morons who won't sell ads to groups like MoveOn, but will put Concerned Women for America's bullshit on billboards nationwide. They use billboards for everything.
Where's the Freeway Blogger? Get him in on this; the Rude Pundit, too.
This is my "MAD AS HELL" diary. And for those who think Christians don't get mad as hell, well, you've been talking to the wrong Christians, and they sound like Rethug Wingnutts.
I'm MAD AS HELL! And I'm doing something about it, but it's not going to stop with this diary. I'm going to the Hill with this; someone on the Telecommunications committee needs to be made aware of this, and you can do me a favor - email your congresscritter to tell them I'll be on the Hill next Tuesday, waving this blog around and what they plan to do about Clear Channel being able to give doucebags like Star and BucWild a radio show.
No action, no campaign contribution, no vote come November. Who's with me?
