CNN Breaking News: Tsunami warnings issued for Fiji and New Zealand after earthquake measuring a magnitude of about 8.0 shakes southern Pacific Ocean.

There was a massive subductive zone earthquake measuring 8.0 off Tonga, according to MSNBC.

Any Kossacks in the area should take cover. West Coast and Hawaii Kossacks, is there a warning for your area?

A tsunami warning was issued for New Zealand and Fiji Wednesday after an 8.0 earthquake struck near the island nation of Tonga. The U.S. Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued the alert, adding that it was not sure a tsunami had been generated by the large quake. "This warning is based only on the earthquake evaluation," it said in a statement. "An earthquake of this size has the potential to generate a destructive tsunami that can strike coastlines near the epicenter within minutes and more distant coastlines within hours."
