In what can only be described as a double-scoop of meta irony, these conspiracy theory diaries are really part of a larger conspiracy.
A theory so obvious, that I defy any CT diarist to prove me wrong.
What is their plan?
First, ask yourself: What do conspiracy theories encourage?
The answer, of course, is the ample use of tin foil. The tin foil hat brigade. The tin foilers. It is their badge, their uniform. A uniform they seek to have others wear.
So what, you may ask? I reply with another question.
Cui bono?
Let us first remember that tin foil is actually made of aluminum. The use of the phrase "tin foil" is actually a clever piece of disinformation designed to prevent the American people from seeing a truth so obvious no conspiracy theorist can disprove it.
You see, if we said "aluminum foil," then people would pay closer attention to the price of aluminum futures contracts, including the recent spike:
There. are. no. coincidences.
