The usual democratic response to this is "well, its so fantastic that we did this killing, but like, its still not gonna change the fact that the other killing we don't like, is gonna continue." A nice John Kerry-ish "we like killing accept when we don't like killing.."
Now, war is war. If you don't expect killing in war, than you don't know nothing. But that we too, have to celebrate the death of this man--or that graphic statement by the front page poster--as somehow jubilant is kinda of scary.

Right now, if you look at most media sites, there are amble pics of the dead al-Zarqawi. It is a time to celebrate, America. Hooray.
perhaps the war will change course now and perhaps it wont. but as we celebrate the picture of a death in delight, we already have changed course.
