The basis of our society , whatever religion you profess, is based in Judaism.
Abraham and Sarah found that there was one God,(Monotheism). Moses encoded the laws governing human relations into the Torah (5 Books of Moses) or the Old Testament. Jesus was born to a Jewish mother and was therefor a Jew. As all Jewish boys at the time he was circumcized on his eighth day. At age thirteen he was a Bar Mitzvah. His Jewish birth and education created the wonderful teacher he evolved into, and the teachings we revere today. Believe whatever you wish but we are all extensions of Jewish roots.
