From the Snark News Network:
Ohio Governor candidate Kenneth Blackwell responded today to accusations that his campaign had been spreading rumors about the sexuality of his Democratic Opponent Ted Strickland, Strickland's wife, their parents, their neighbors, their gardener, their dry cleaner, their paper-boy, several family pets, and a barber chair.
"We don't know what you're talking about," a Blackwell campaign spokesman said. "Sure Kenneth recently met with Karl Rove. But they did not discuss any plans for a so-called swiftboating campaign. All they talked about was yachting, golf, and how Presidential the President looks."
"Besides," Blackwell's spokesman added, "Even if we were behind this, turn-about is fair play."
When asked to explain, Blackwell's spokesman accused Strickland of spreading scurrilous rumors that Blackwell is "A Negro."
