Green Party Roll Call

Now with the revelation that the Green Party candidate in Pennsylvania is a wholly owned subsidiary of George W. Bush's Republican Party, I am curious to see who on Daily Kos is a proud Green Party member, and who is at least supportive of the Green Party, if not a member.

So as with other roll calls, please post a comment identifying yourself, and please explain your continued support of the Green Party and their unknown and unknowable goals and strategy. Please explain how it advances pure Progressive principles to be allied with the Republican Party. Please tell me how being in debt to Republicans advances your aims.

Several weeks ago, I attended a screening of Al Gore's Inconvenient Truth with Chris Bowers. It was a big event since Al Gore was to attend and answer questions after the movie. As I was waiting for Chris, I say Green Party volunteers gathering signatures for their petition to get on the ballot. I am usually supportive of such efforts, because I did believe at the time that at the very least the Green Party and other parties should have ballot access. I refused to sign their petition when they approached me, saying that I was a Democrat. But I did offer words of encouragement and advice that they would be able to get more signatures after the movie since people would be fired up.

What a mistake that was.
