To start off with, President Bush lives in a bubble. Not your average bubble mind you, but one of 10 feet of concrete with rebar and lead plating. Nothing can penetrate his bubble, not even the execution of the man he started this war to kill.
Yes, Virgina, Bush has yet to see the execution video.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush has not seen the illicit video of Saddam Hussein's execution because he is focused on the "way forward" in Iraq, the White House said on Wednesday.
Iraqi officials are facing criticism over a video of Saddam's hanging, apparently filmed on a mobile phone, that shows Shi'ite officials mocking the former Iraqi leader on the gallows. It angered Saddam's fellow Sunni Arabs and sparked international condemnation.
The controversy over the execution video erupted as Bush is preparing to unveil a new strategy on Iraq that could come as early as Tuesday.
"I think the most important thing to realize is that Saddam Hussein was executed after a long trial, a long and public trial that met international standards," White House spokesman Tony Snow said.
Well, I agree, it was an illicit video. But there is no way we can go "forward" now we have enraged the entire Sunni community. You know the Sunni culture right, President Bush? Like that cottage group of Sunnis who took down the World Trade Center? Yes, Mr. President, you just gave this sect a martyr. Bravo.
And as for Mr. Snow's comment, the trial was that of kangaroos, full of posturing and perceptions. It did not meet international standards, that sort of credibility only occurs at The Hague. And don't even kid yourself about this being a public trial, do you take us for unwashed mass ready to swallow the lies? I guess you do. Bravo.
So, how badly did this go down? Let's take a gander of one of the worst foreign policy events in US history:

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Bush administration sent conflicting signals Wednesday about the taunting and baiting that accompanied Saddam Hussein's execution, with the White House declining to join criticism of the procedure and the State Department and U.S. military raising questions about it.
"The president is focused on the new way forward in Iraq so these issues are best addressed out of Iraq, out of Baghdad," deputy White House press secretary Scott Stanzel said. "Prime Minister Maliki's staff have already expressed their disappointment in the filmings, so I guess we'll leave it at that."
State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said Wednesday that U.S. officials questioned conducting the execution on a Muslim festival day and as well as some procedures, such as who would be signing certain documents.
So what were the taunts? The Shi'ites in the room, decided it was now the time to chant Muktadar, or Muqtadà, at Saddam. Yes, that Muqtadà, of Sadr fame. The same guy who fought the American forces to a standstill twice, and military leader of the Shi'ites in Sadr City, Baghdad. Nice. Way to look like the small dog behind the fence there guys.
So now, it looks like all of Shi'itedom was executing Saddam Hussein, instead of Iraq as a whole. You here that Concrete Bubble Boy? You just gave the Sunnis a battle cry right up there with "Remember the Alamo." Maybe you should watch the tape, or maybe you should have made sure this type of fiasco would not occur in the first place. If civil war was your plan, you have one now.
Not because Saddam was hung, but because of how he was hung.
The worst part of course, in the eyes of the Sunni community, was these executioners decided to hang Saddam during his final death prayer. This is not good. This is the kind of thing that takes a civil conflict into a full fledge blood bath. See the Sunnis tromping through the Shi'ite mosque when they found this out as a reference point on this. Yes, Saddam was the devil, that is why you don't give him a shred of humanity during his last minutes on earth. He went from strong arm to martyr, and we have no one but ourselves to blame for this.
Well, and the concrete bubble boy that is President Bush.
Outrageous.
Wake me up when September ends.
