WHY would any Black American support the DEMOCRATIC PARTY knowing its long history of HATE CRIMES committed against Blacks in America:
• Democrats supported slavery and fought and gave their lives to expand it
• Democrats passed the Fugitive Slave Laws of 1793 and 1854
• Democrats passed the Missouri Compromise of 1820 to protect slavery
• Democrats passed the Kansas Nebraska Act of 1854 to expand slavery (the Republican Party was founded in 1854 in opposition this Act and slavery in genral)
• Democrats supported and backed the Dread Scott decision of 1857
• Democrats supported and passed Jim Crow Laws and Black Codes (Republicans fought to end Jim Crow Laws and Black Codes)
• Democrats opposed the Freedman’s Bureau of 1865 as it pertained to blacks
• Democrats opposed the Emancipation Proclamation of 1863 (Republican President Abraham Lincoln made the decree and signed it into law)
• Democrats opposed the 13th (1865), 14th (1866), and 15th (1869) Amendments to end slavery, make blacks citizens, and to grant blacks the right to vote (Radical and Moderate Republicans helped draft and passed these Amendments)
• Democrats opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1866 (A Republican controlled congress passed this Act over the veto of Democrat President Andrew Johnson)
• Democrats establish the Ku Klux Klan (1866) as the terrorist arm of the Democratic Party to oppose reconstruction efforts of Black and White Republicans and any and all civil rights granted to free Black people
• Democrats opposed the Reconstruction Act of 1867 (A Republican controlled congress again passes Act over the veto of Democrat President Andrew Johnson)
• Democrats opposed the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871 (Republican controlled Congress passes the Act and Republican President Ulysees S. Grant signs into law)
• Democrats opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1875 (Republican controlled Congress passes Act and Republican President Ulysees S. Grant signs into law)
• Many Democrats (not all) opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1957 (Republicans helped pass and Republican President "Ike" Eisenhower signed into law)
• Many Democrats (not all) opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (80% of Republicans voted in favor as opposed to 60% of Democrats)
• Many Democrats (not all) opposed the Voting Rights Act of 1965 (Republicans overwhelmingly supported the Act, G.W. Bush extended the Act in 2006)
• The Democratic Party was known as the "Party of White Supremacy" from 1792 to 1962 producing racists propaganda like The Birth of a Nation (an anti-republican KKK glorification film, The Clansman, The Leopard’s Spot, racists tracks, etc.
• Today the Democratic Party continues to advance policies and practices that persist to cause great damage and detriment to black Americans everywhere and they have yet to acknowledge or publicly apologize for these atrocities committed
Please don’t believe the above because I said it’s so, if it matters to you to know, then research it for yourself online or just ask the Democratic National Convention (DNC) if what you’ve just read is the true and forgotten history of the Democratic Party.
