Now, this may be framed as a free speech discussion, which I think would be a mistake. Redstate.com is privately owned. They have the right to refuse admission to whomever they like on their web site and they have the right to restrict content in any fashion they so desire. That's not the issue here.
What is the issue heree?
Cowardly self-destruction.
Redstate could easily just ignore the Ron Paul folks on the site and they'd probably be best advised to do so. What are they doing instead? They're deliberately attacking a sizable contingent of potential Republican supporters and doing so in a fashion which will not be easily forgotten.
It would be a lot like if Daily Kos decided to ban any discussion of Kucinch, calling his supporters "idiot filthy grass eating hippies." Markos wouldn't do this of course, for many reasons, but among thos reasons is that he's not insane.
He, unlike the brain trust at Redstate, understands that coalition building involves finding common ground, not attacking your potential allies on a personal level. Ron Paul supporters may not be big fans of Bush, but they're Republican voters who could be persuaded to participate in the party if given good reasons to do so but, like conservative Christians, could also be persuaded to sit the 2008 elections out or go with a third party, if treated like crap.
But hey, I say, go for it. For those of us who don't want to see more Republicans elected, I say keep it up!
