The Positive Message of John Edwards Takes Hold Too

I know a lot has been said lately about how John Edwards sounds angry. A lot is being made of Edwards wanting to fight to take our country back from special interests. I for one am more than glad to hear that John Edwards is angry about what has been going on in this country. I am more than happy that he has a fighting spirit too. I think he is the candidate that will ensure that our party once again has a backbone and will quit backing down from a fight, and starting the argument by bringing our opposition, the same opposition that has shut us out time and time again, to the table.

Yes, a fighting spirit is good. Running on a platform that fights the status-quo tooth and nail is even better. John Edwards is angry and ready to fight for our country's ideals, as we all should be. Talk of capitulation and compromise has no place in the agenda of our party.

But that is not all this campaign is about. Of course we are angry and perfectly willing to point out why. However, even as one of the more angrier Democrats I fully realize that one cannot simply lead by being angry and critisizing others. That is the beauty of John Edwards campaign and a large part of the reason I am so proud to be but a small part of it. Yes, we are angry and ready to fight. But besides that, John Edwards has put together a very positive agenda to not only point out the many wrongs the have befallen this country, but to actually change them. Lets look at some of the positive agenda John Edwards has offered to all Americans.

First, even before many would even admit there was a problem in the housing market, John Edwards offered hope to those who had fallen victim to Predatory Lenders, and offered help in keeping the American Dream, ownership of your own home:

Next, Edwards offered hope to all those who could benefit from the miracles of stem-cell research:

Edwards also offered hope and equality to women and minorities that one day they would recieve equal pay for an honest day's work:

Edwards soon stood up for and offered the hope of One America to those who have suffered from hate crimes:

Next, Edwards offered the hope to our troops that under his Presidency our troops would be shown respect with more than just talking points:

Edwards also offered the positive message that someone actually cares about the pain Americans are feeling at the pump:

Next, Edwards offered hope to the American worker that soon they may be able to organize and bargain for better pay and benefits more easily:

All throughout his campaign, Edwards has offered hope to the people of New Orleans that their city may one day be rebuilt, and that their country hasn't written them off for corporate profits:

Also all throughout the campaign Edwards has spread the positive message that maybe one day American workers will have a leader that doesn't allow high-paying jobs to disappear due to irresponsible unfair trade:

Finally, not to be undone by his own Rural Recovery Agenda, John Edwards also offered hope for positive change to those Americans in our cities who have been left behind by Bush and the Republicans, and even some within our own party:

Yes, John Edwards is angry. I am too. If you are not the least bit angry, then maybe you haven't been watching what has transpired in our country for the last few decades. Anger, however is just one aspect of the campaign to create One America for everyone. Along with the anger, John Edwards has consistently offered a positive message of hope that leaves no American behind.

The question in this campaign is who will take that anger and convert it into Progressive change in this country for all. As you can see, Edwards has a vision for America that includes much hope and positive change for everyone. I hope voters in the early states will take a serious look at the positive vision for our country put forth by John Edwards and vote to give our party a leader that does more than speak on change, but fights for it.
