OH-5: Obama helps Weirauch

With the special election in OH-5 coming closer, Barack Obama continues in his efforts to build the Democratic party in places that have been Republican strongholds of late. Robin Weirauch comes into the race against Bob Latta as an underdog, but that hasn't stopped the DCCC from pitching in, and it hasn't stopped Obama from helping either.

Below the fold is an email Obama sent out urging to both help call OH-5 voters and send donations to Weirauch's ActBlue page.

In less than a week you can make a difference in Ohio and in Washington, DC.

Next Tuesday, there's a special election for Congress in Ohio's 5th District, a traditionally Republican stronghold that is within reach for Democrats thanks to a strong candidate, Robin Weirauch.

It's a tough race, but if we're going to change this country, we have to be ready to stand up for our principles everywhere. Because when we do, we win.

There's no time to waste -- here's what you can do:

Barack Obama has been an active partybuilder since 2004, helping many candidates at the state and federal levels get elected.
