I just want to clear something up.
CNN and others are not making clear that the organized protests of Arnold at the Santa Monica College commencement speech were kept FAR FAR away from the commencement.
The real protesters didn't go anywhere near the commencement.
What got all the press were the friends and families of the students, and the faculty of the college! You had to have a TICKET to get into the stadium! And it was there where he was jeered and booed almost to the point of totally drowning him out.
The people who just came to protest, like me, well most of them didn't even know WHERE Arnold was actually speaking and they didn't know WHEN. I figured it out, walked over to the stadium, saw that he started speaking, heard the huge wave of BOOOOS from the audience, then I personally went back to each of the protests and told those speaking that Arnold was currently speaking and they finally got the word out.
So the protesters were extremely polite and respectful of the commencement. The people who were actually PARTICIPATING in the commencement, those with tickets, were the ones who jeered and booed him TO HIS FACE.
Just wanted to clear it up. I was there and reported on it last night. I honestly didn't think it would get ANY press anywhere.
That CNN poll really pissed me off -- It's obviously slanted to make it look like the protesters showed up to interrupt the commencement, which is NOT the truth of the matter whatsofuckingever.
Here's the thread I posted last night:
And a few photos that I took:
This one was great! On the march over there, this woman was on her balcony, bashing her railing with a 2x4 and yelling! She was SO into it! She was doing some serious venting!
Here's where we crossed Pico at 20th Street. You can see there are quite a few people. We were near the end.

These women were waiting when we arrived, along with MANY others. As you can see they're a bunch of radical nut-jobs (not). :)
