When Congress drags WH staff in to testify, they should be sure to get the weasels in the woodwork.
There have been several diary's about Barry Jackson. Dengre did a good one which tied the Abramomoff, Rove, and all manner of sleaze into a package. The running threwad seems to be Barry Jackson.
Jackson had a crew of college buddies that came along with him. When I saw the name Mike Connell, it caught my attention.
MIKE CONNELL - Founder and CEO of New Media Communications, a Cleveland-based Internet technology firm specializing in online political strategy and solutions. New Media's client list includes Bush-Cheney '04, the Republican National Committee, the National Rifle Association and more than 50 members of Congress. Connell graduated from the University of Iowa in 1986 and began his political career working for George Bush for President (1987-1988) in Iowa. In 1988 he went to Washington D.C. to program and develop an advanced delegate tracking system for the Republican National Convention. Connell started New Media after the 1994 election cycle and says the "breakout moment for the company" was Jeb Bush's 1998 gubernatorial campaign.
Connell was part of Jackson's crew at the University of Iowa in the early 1980s. I was there and remember then them well. Connell isn't the only computer jock out of that crew. Former Iowa State Rep and GOP chair Steve Grubbs is now the CEO of Victory Enterprises. Grubbs was initially a member of the Maranatha shepharding cult.
In 1984, Jackson was leading a College Republican dirty tricks squad against Dem Candidate Tom Harkin. The Republican incumbent, Roger Jepsen, was a joke. He was channeling funds from the South Afikan BOSS to Iowa Right-To-Life. That financed a traveling rent-a-mob and phone-bank scams through Per Mar Security and Research. They stole a student election at the University of Iowa and stripped the left groups of funding, did black bag jobs, and sent thugs to attack anti-aparthied demonstrations.
One of the funny things, they had to scramble to cover the stink when one of their guys, skipped to Bahrain with all the proceeds from the homecoming buttion sales. Little gangster do grow up. Now we have a major problem in America,
Dengre did some damned fine work on their more recent shenanigans:
Connecting Boehner, Abramoff, Rove, sweatshops, Medicare scams, Social Security and more
Barry Jackson, Director of Strategic Initiatives. Although its initials sound like those of some sort of Cold War intelligence service, the Office of Strategic Initiatives, headed by Jackson, is responsible for coordinating the planning and development of long-range strategies for achieving presidential priorities. Jackson said that his office "serves somewhat as a think tank" in the White House, where staffers are frequently absorbed in short-term goals and daily events. During the campaign, he worked on the Republican National Convention program, and he first worked with Rove when he orchestrated the 25-state barnstorming tour of GOP governors who stumped for Bush two weeks before the election. Jackson was also one of the legions of Republican operatives who traveled to Florida during the recount battle. Jackson, 40, was a former longtime top adviser to Rep. John A. Boehner, R-Ohio. He helped organize and implement the 1994 House Republican campaign manifesto, the Contract With America. Jackson was born in Washington, D.C., but grew up in Ohio. He earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of Iowa (Iowa City).
So, twenty years later, these scum bags have managed to rig everything in sight and have the whole government wired through their servers? That's why the earlier diaries regarding Mike Connell's internet company are so alarming. These thugs have wired the whole damned infrastructure in DC and everyone is compromised.
They shouldn't be trusted to comply voluntarily with any court orders. Those servers should be taken into Congressional custody, physically, ASAP. Barry Jackson and Mike Connell should be forced to testify under oath regarding these questions.
