Steve Young Must Read Column on Walter Reed Today

The hypocrisy of the Right in glossing over or completely ignoring the Walter Reed Scandal is laid out in glaring detail in a column by Steve Young published today. It is incomprehensible to me that they accuse the Left of not supporting the troops, when our own Administration has completely ignored the shocking treatment of our wounded soldiers. Even now, with all the facts laid bare, the Right (FOX et al.) seems to be either completely ignoring this or in some parallel universe laying the blame at the liberals door.

One of the best statements:

If the right-wing media had broadcast the story, hidden in plain sight, with half the energy they use to excoriate the ACLU, the right's water-carriers could have helped avert years of misery for many of our veterans.

They don't really care about our troops. They use them as an expedient political tool. Supporting Bush and his administration is the only thing that is important to them. I wish more media people would speak up about the hypocrisy of the Right.
