McClatchy has a blog for their staffers in Baghdad to tell their stories. They write about their lives and don't pull any punches. Some of what they write about their experiences are in graphic detail.

The latest entry is about how life used to be in the sweltering hot weather that is spring and summer in Baghdad. How people there lived their lives coping with the heat in a very social atmosphere and how now, even that has been taken from them. Please go have a look and leave a comment of encouragement. Some of the freepers leave comments there and they can be quite disturbing. They show the face of ugly Americans. We can do better than that in thanking these people for telling their amazing stories. They are each and every one very brave souls.
