I
read at issues2002.org that Dean supports "More federal funding for all aspects of [the] Drug War. (Aug 2000)"
Looking closer this is based on some sort of position paper from the National Govenors Association which Dean evidently endorsed.
So does he support (expanding) the drug war?
Bias Disclosure: not much. I'm leaning more toward Dean all the time, but looking closer (i.e. harder) at him as a result.
I would not mind if someone has comments in praise or condemnation for the issues2002 site, by the way. It's a great idea for a site, but its nature is such that it's hard to check if they have the positions right, and if they don't, it's worse than useless.
I just found the site a while ago (thanks to dKos!) so I don't know if they are good or bad, but they seem good since they take you to the source quotes they are using. I'm inclined to fall in love with their site, actually. I hope it's solid.
