Hold onto your hats. In a few days all other issues in Washington will disappear into this new scandal:

Woman in Escort Case Plans to Name Names in Defense

Apparently ABC News has an exclusive on this, which they plan to divulge to the world on a 20/20 episode during May 4 sweeps week. Nice. Class act, that ABC.

She not only intends to identify more of her high-profile clients, but has also threatened to call them as witnesses at trial to back up her claim that the services provided never crossed the line to prostitution.

"I am a ferocious fighter when need be," she wrote in an e-mail message this year to a Justice Department official involved in the case. "I can state with unequivocal certainty this situation will be a very long and unpleasant one."

The Washington Post reports that she has 10,000 - 15,000 phone numbers:

Palfrey's flamboyant attorney, Montgomery Blair Sibley, said Friday that he has been contacted by five lawyers recently, asking whether their clients' names are on Palfrey's list of 10,000 to 15,000 phone numbers.

Ross said the list includes the names of some "very prominent people," as well as a number of women with "important and serious jobs" who had worked as escorts for the firm.

Yikes.

Will this push the real issues facing this country onto the back burner?

I hope not.

She might need a serious bodyguard detail. Then again, if ABC is already in possession of all those names, it might not matter.
