It's simple really. Democrats are weak today. We hide behind formal letters while Republicans ignore our memos... Republicans have been incredibly efficient in using such controvery for political success in the past... (I'm making a case to the Pragmatists out there...)
GOP Congress was quick to jump up and down on Bill Clinton, and in the process created a political movement which contributed to successive victories in the elections of '00, '02, '04... their "Values" were defined, mainstreamed, consolidated in that move. It failed, but there was political capital in the result. It bought them several years of victory... It's our turn now to stand behind the Rule of Law and Protect Lady Liberty... and this time it's not about Blow Jobs....
Republicans in California didn't flinch when they decided they could pin Enron's transgretions on Grey Davis. They collected signatures and staged a recall election to 'legally' remove a Democratic Gov in a Democrat state. That took gut, balls, and zeal. They didn't flinch.
Why do we Flinch?
Why is Impeachment off the table?
Nancy, You Stand to benefit the most. Forget Hillary, You'll be the 1st female president!!!!
Democrat Leadership is afraid. We must yell louder. We must find ways to mobilize. We must all convert in time I believe to the view that:
- Protecting the Consititution NOW is Important
- Setting Precidents FOR THE RULE OF LAW is Important
- Victory in '08 Can Not Be Tolerated at This Cost!
If we don't act now, if we don't act with conviction, and protect the Rule of Law, then we are guilty by association, guilty by inaction, and we are the victims in this.
This is our country. This is our Freedom. This is our Government laughing in our face, ignoring inquiries, denying congress has any athority what-so-ever. This administration is playing for keeps.
If we are to ever have free and clean government again, this government of Crime must be made to pay, and pay with hard time behind the cool steel of Iron Bars!
Where are our heroes? Who will rise up?
