The MSNBC democratic candidates debate was pathetic. A minute here 30 seconds there and maybe a minute and a half over there. Poor commercials and that was about it.

So what is the solution? Perhaps DailyKos could sponsor an on-line debate.

The set up would be simple. People who are participants of DailyKos would form a resolution in the form that "Be it resolved that US foreign aid should not include military aid." Then send the resolution to the candidates and ask for a response. The response can come as video, audio, or writing or any combination of the above. Give the candidates two weeks to respond and then post the opening remarks of those candidates who respond on DailyKos.

Every week post a "rebuttal" or clarification from the candidates for 3 weeks and then ask for a conclusion. Of course dailyKos paticipants could comment.

Well its a thought.
