The Dems and Bush pretend to disagree.

The Dem leadership puts together a tough budget that demands withdrawals from Iraq. Bush vetoes. The Dems will tweak, Bush will veto. On it will go, and, really, nothing will get solved. Why? Because in truth, the Democrats REALLY DON'T WANT TO LEAVE IRAQ! Just like Bush!

Around the corner....

How do we know this? Since when have the Dems de-funded, or even threatened to de-fund, the PERMANENT BASES IN IRAQ. Since when have the Dems withdrawn funding for the Huge Permanent Embassy in Iraq, which, in actuality, will be another military base?

The Dems have done NOTHING to stop a permanent US presence. They have failed to address the installations of (13? 14?) permanent military outposts in Iraq, and in all of their media appearances, they NEVER address this issue. And the only explanation can be this: in spite of their holy acclamations that they are representing the will of the people, they don't want the US to withdraw from Iraq. Not until the oil runs out. It's the dirty little secret shared with their phony nemesis and clandestine partner, Chucklenuts. They want to bluster opposition to Mr. Chimp, but when push comes to shove, they'll all be holding hands.

The budget crisis for funding the war? Nothing but a charade. Watch what happens: Bush will get his money, and with silent Democratic compliance, he'll continue to build the permanent military bases.

Watch what they do, not what they say.
