Now, this video seems to show a different event than was chronicled last night. I looks to me that Edwards drew a huge crowd in a small town in Eastern Kentucky that wanted to hear his message of hope, and in these videos, it definately seems to resonate with them. Thank God for youtube.
The truth of the matter is while all the other top tier candidates seem to be worrying more about raising money, John Edwards went on a poverty tour in which the people came to hear him speak for free, and weren't counted as donors because they came to hear a message of hope. This message was didn't cost and wasn't added to the bottom line!!
The truth of the matter is that John Edwards has a message that America needs to hear!! There are two Americas and has been for a long time. You don't have to tell the people in Eastern Kentucky, or any of the other poverty-stricken areas in America that. The resounding success of John Edward's Road to One America Tour shows that. Sure, it didn't raise a bunch of money, in fact it probably burned some of the campaign's precious resources. However, it shows that John Edwards does care about the mission of his life, aleviating poverty and creating One America once again. The fact that another major candidate had to give a speech on Edwards signature issue on the very day this speech was made I believe shows just how successful this trip was. If the Road to One America didn't resonate with the people, why would another major candidate try and mimic it ever so slightly?
Not only does Edwards have a message America needs to hear, that does resonate with people, he has the vision and the policies to accomplish his and his wonderful wife's lifes work, alleviating poverty, and creating One America where the big Corporation and Washington elitists and lobbyists are no longer more important than the hard-working American people who are not asking for a handout, but a fair shot at their hard work giving them a chance at the American dream.
All of this only brings me further into the fold of the Edwards campaign, a campaign that I feel like I am a part of it not because I blog for it, contribute to it, and get others to do the same, but because the message and the vision offered by John Edwards is just what my neighbors in Kentucky, and other working people across this country desperately needed to hear. Thank you John Edwards for being the first politician since RFK to really care about people like me, and all the people you saw along his Road to One America.
Please join this campaign of hope and change. We are fighting to create One America everyone can be proud of, not just the elitists in Washington and the CEOs of big Corporations, but average hard working Americans like me and you. We need everyone to join us in changing America and the world. Nothing is impossible if we dream and work to achieve change!!! Check out all the ideas and goings on in this campaign here:
