Karl Rove's real reason?

I am just going to throw this out there for your comments.

Why on earth would Karl Rove, if he truly believed that Hillary Clinton was unelectable in a general election given her supposedly high negative ratings, on three occasions in the past week, discuss it?

I mean, if the alleged boy genius was convinced that Hillary Clinton could not win a general election against any Republican, would he not keep that to himself and allow us to nominate her as our standard bearer?

The obvious answer is that Karl Rove and the Republicans do fear Hillary as an opponent in the general. And, as has been their modus operandi over the past eight years, they have begun a PR campaign to convince the American people that she is unelectable, so as to reverse the fact that she is electable.

This question has been analyzed to death over at MyDD and OpenLeft and here at Daily Kos over the weekend, given Rove's comments on the Rush Limbaugh Hate Hour and on Meet the Timmah.

But I think there might be another aspect to this.

Rove's fear of Hillary is a given.

But what if Bush does not fear her?

What if the reason Rove left the White House was not due to any of the previously given reasons, from spending time with family, making money via speeches and memoirs, and/or to avoid a subpoena?

What if the reason Rove left was a disagreement with Bush over political strategy?

Here is where I delve into a conspiracy theory that is more commonly found at places that see conspiracy everywhere.

What if there is an understanding between the Clintons and the Bushes regarding the presidency?

Has George W. Bush ever really attacked Hillary Clinton directly? I cannot specifically recall a time where she has been mentioned directly by the Dear Leader.

So what if Bush is too ambivalent, whether purposively or not, to the possibility of Hillary Clinton being his successor, and what if it is that ambivalence that drove Karl into retirement?

I am just throwing that out there. I do not necessarily believe this theory to be true, but it is interesting.
