Oh, man, the Bush family is just the gift that keeps on giving.

This is a third-hand report so confirm for yourself, but I just got a call from my Mom, a reliable source if ever there was one, who flipped on her talk radio show in NYC to hear Ellis Hennigan -- frequent token liberal on O'Reilly -- going on about the rumor that Jenna Bush is pregnant.

Nothing like a little salacious gossip to give a silver lining to all that gloom and doom about warrantless wiretapping, the surge and Rove's next big project.

Jenna, 25, who goes by the nickname Twinkle in the family circle, announced on Aug. 15 her engagement to Henry Hager, her boyfriend of two years. Hager, once an aide to Karl Rove, is a business graduate student at U. Va., and son of the Republican Party chair of Virginia. No truth to the rumor his nickname is Sammy.

Jenna also has more misdemeanors than Missy Elliott, thanks to trying to use a fake ID to buy alcohol in 2001, and a minor in possession charge in the same year. For anyone else in Texas, I think these are death penalty offenses, if I'm not mistaken.

And then there was the incident where the U.S. Embassy in Argentina asked both of the Bush twins, Jenna and her sister Barbara, to leave the country. Though security concerns were cited as the reason, whose security was at question since the girls were apparently celebrating their birthday in Buenos Aires and became a little too rowdy when they couldn't find a mule show or something.

But enough of that.

So who da babydaddy? Hager? Better to just blame it on Bill Clinton.
