President Bush will sit down this afternoon with Fox News Channel's Neil Cavuto for an exclusive interview, to air today on Your World (4pm ET). FNC tells TV Newser, the conversation will be held at the Treasury Department, and will focus on the economy and recent market volatility.
The interview is considered a feather in Fox's cap as it gears up for the launch of the Fox Business Network.
Think they'll stop the Chyron for this interview? Now, this subject has been diaried infinitely here on Kos and other blogs. We all know that Fox News is the Propaganda arm of this administration. That being said, there is a certain pecking order in regards to the credibility (and I use that word very loosely) of the personalities that spew that propaganda. And frankly, Cavuto isn't anywere near the top of that pecking order. Our President sitting down with Cavuto is little better than if he actually opened Capone's vault with Geraldo.
It may be a "feather in the cap" of Fox, but what does it say about our Commander in Chief? Will we see an intense sit down with Regis and Kelly? Or how about serious, thought provoking interview with Ryan Seacrest? I swear they aren't even trying any more.
