New Details Emerging on Hillary's UHC Plan

Hillary is set to unveil the third phase of her health care plan on Monday at a hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. This phase deals with accessibility. Hillary had this to say about the type of headline she hopes her plan will evoke, "Obviously, I hope the headline is that, you know, Hillary is back, and we're going to get it done." According to Bloomberg.com, Hillary's plan "will probably stake out the middle ground, appearing bolder than Senator Obama of Illinois and more pragmatic than former Senator Edwards of North Carolina."

Her initiatives will likely include at least the following:
-make coverage mandatory for everyone
-"put an end'' to the industry discrimination against consumers with pre-existing medical conditions

Clinton has said her plan will "dramatically rein in the influence of the insurance companies, because frankly I think that they have worked to the detriment of our economy and of our health-care system."

Earlier this year, Hillary proposed a plan to dramatically expand SCHIP. That proposal lead to current efforts by the Congress to expand SCHIP. Her plan would have included the following:
-eligibility for those 25 years and younger, up to 400% above poverty
