I know, another diary but I'm just getting around to watching the ABC evening news.

George S is talking about the swing voter groups, a/k/a Independents and also Catholics:

Independents:
43% Obama
50% McCain

White Catholics
Obama 36%
McCain 59%

George says that it is the White Catholic Woman Voter who has switched to McCain (but they can also be just as easily switched back).

Now the one part of the polling I found interesting is this one:

People who are voting on:

Issues: (a/k/a Progressives)
56% Obama
37% McCain

Personal Attributes (a/k/a the less informed)
39% Obama
56% McCain

Okay, so who do we go after Demographically?

White Catholic Woman Voters who can bend on the issue of abortion. These women have to see the extremes to which Palin is a player to, even her religious views (sorry, it does matter with these women).

I apologize for any snark in this but I do find these numbers interesting and very telling as to who we need to focus on the most now.
