How long is this primary season going to be?
When will we get a nominee?
Not that I am ready for the primary season to be over after only two contests, but CW was that we would have our nominee after only two contests.
It is not hard to see the Republican nomination being up for grabs for a long time, possibly even leading to their convention.
My question is, How long will the primary process actually be? Will it end for both parties after Feb 5th? Will both parties still have contests when we in Indiana go to the primary polls May 8th? Will both parties go to brokered conventions this year?
I am troubled over the bashing that is going at this site over the various candidates for the Democratic Nomination for the office of President of the United States.
As a candidate for Congress it matters to me who our nominee is, honestly, I need the coat-tails, and I feel that each candidate should be fully vetted, but what I am seeing on this site is not vetting, it is speculation and name calling for the most part.
I am not going to stop it, I know that, but I caution that each of you think ahead, and consider the damage that could be caused by your words. Words that will not disappear but words that can be pulled back up and will be pulled back up and possibly used against not only you, but all of us.
I like all of our candidates, and will take any of them over any of the Republicans.
I like Obama because he energizes people and our party needs that..
I like Hillary because I have met her and she is different in person. (We met in 2002, and not on the campaign trail, just for full disclosure.)
I like Edwards because I am a populist.
I like Bill Richardson even though he has dropped, because he grabbed me by both arms and told me "Don’t just run against Mike Pence. Beat Him! Our country doesn’t need anymore people like him in power."
So take a break from the bashing, and give your opinion on how long the horse races will actually be contested.
