While the Repubs whine about Gwen Ifill...Guess who!

Republicans are waxing wrathful because Thursday's V.P. debate is being moderated by Gwen Ifill--author of a planned book, "The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama." (Here's a N.Y. Time article on it.)

But guess who's moderating the third Presidential debate? Hints: His family has close ties to the Bush's; he is a Bush golf crony; and Bush appointed his brother ambassador to Australia, and Japan.

That's right, it's Bob Schieffer. (References hereand here.)

And you may recall Bob as the near comatose moderator of the third Bush-Kerry debate in 2004. (I believe that was the debate where Bush actually drooled.)

And while we are on the subject, guess who's moderating the second Presidential debate?

It's Tom Meat-Puppet Brokaw; the same who spread pro-McCain misinformation on Meet the Press. (Brokaw is also NBC liaison to the McCain campaign.)

I'm not surprised the Republicans are raising Cain about Ifill. What I don't understand is why we are not doing the same about Schieffer and Brokaw.
