When we started debating, it was about issues. Who would be better for the country. Who had more experience. Blah, blah, blah.
Then Palin was picked. And suddenly the experience argument went out the window. But a funny thing happened. Some of these people were THRILLED. Absolutely thrilled. I didn't understand it how they could view her as a GOOD choice. Yet, they kept touting her as having MUCH more valid experience than any of the other THREE Senators in the race. (can I roll my eyes now?)
Anyway, in the last two weeks, we've seen the return of Bill Ayers. I could quote as many non-partisan sites as I wanted, but they accused the sites of being biased. Snopes, biased??? (can I roll my eyes again?) And predictably, ACORN came to the forefront. And more than one is already claiming that ACORN is going to steal the election. (somehow rolling my eyes doesn't seem enough for this one!!)
Now, TODAY? I'm hearing "Obama and Osama both had friends that bombed the Pentagon", "Obama is a terrorist", "Obama, the Messiah, has his followers worshiping him" and today my personal favorite... "Hmmm. I think Obama supporters should get a tattoo... How does 666 sound?" It's like someone pulled a switch and the filth started flowing.
I AM DISGUSTED. This group, who proclaim to be moral Christians, are morally corrupt. I actually got SOOO offended this morning, that I've bowed out of any future debates. HOW do people live like this? I don't understand. Can anyone help me understand how Christian people could DO such things and not feel guilty? Do these people have no shame? Ugh. I know this isn't an informative diary, and I'm sorry for that.
But I needed to get this anger and disgust out. I refuse to hang on it. That would make me no better than those I complain about. So, if you hear some idiot today spouting nonsense? Have pity on them. Don't get angry, but turn that energy into a positive. I have SOO much work to do, but I'm heading out to the local Obama office to go donate some time and money. I want to make this anger work FOR good. Make sure that Obama is SOOO far ahead that any ACORN argument these idiots make is a non-issue.
