I Finally Did It, I Went All In!!!

Five minutes ago, I did something I never thought I would ever do.

Five minutes ago, I did something I'd thought of doing all year, but didn't know if I'd make it.

Five minutes ago, I hope I just changed the world.

Ten minutes ago, I got an email from Jon Carson and it said this.

I can tell you right now who's going to win this election -- the campaign that steps up its ground game in the final days.

The race is deadlocked in a number of crucial battleground states, including Ohio, Missouri, and Indiana. And we're neck-and-neck in Florida, North Carolina, and Nevada.

We have to make our final, tough decisions about where to fight and how strong we can make our team. And those choices will depend on the financial resources we have tomorrow at midnight.

I read alot of stuff online about how much money they raised in September (I gave $750 right after Palin threw up all over TV on convention night), and thought maybe they already have enough.

I read alot of stuff from the Washington Post about how most of Obama's donors are not "small money" but rather +$200 donors, and wondered which one would the Wa Post count me as....

Before Obama, the most money I'd ever given at any one time to any political campaign was $250 to the DCCC in 2006.

Before Obama, I'd only ever given $50 to Howard Dean.

Now today, I did it. I Went All In.

I guess now, when my children and grandchildren ask me what was it like when Barack Obama was running for President; what was it like before the world changed and the country healed; what was it like before we finally got Change we'd been needing for 40 years, I can tell them it was a time when the citizens stepped up and took control of politics the way democracy should work.

I'm now fully invested in Change, in the Future, and in a better tomorrow. And it feels good :)

And that's all I ever wanted for Christmas (No presents to myself this year other than rewatching Election night TeeVee)!
