Barack Obama's New Ad Looks to the Future

Barack Obama turns the old Reagan mantra on its head in his new ad:

"At this defining moment in our history, the question is not, 'Are you better off than you were four years ago?' We all know the answer to that," Obama narrates.

"The real question is, 'Will our country be better off four years from now?' How will we lift our economy and restore America's place in the world?"

In this fairly substantive ad, a confident and hopeful Barack Obama begins to make his closing argument. Contrasted with McCain's desperate attempt to twist Joe Biden's words to his advantage, Obama's ad soars while McCain's ad sinks.

The real question, Mr.McCain, isn't whether Obama will be tested in the near future. We all know the answer to that. The real question is whether Obama has been tested during the last year, and whether he passed that test.
