Pew Research poll released yesterday has Obama with a 16 point lead over McCain. With that big a lead and only 6 days to go it behooves this political junkie to check back into the Pew Archives:

There was no late October Pew poll in 2004.
Here is an update from Pew Research on their poll released yesterday (more good news)
Updated October 28: When the current survey of registered voters is narrowed to those most likely to vote, Obama's holds a 15-point advantage over McCain, among 1,198 likely voters.
General Election: McCain vs. Obama
All Registered Voters %
McCain 36
Obama 52
Likely Voters %
McCain 38
Obama 53
Another article at the Pew site today says Obama leads by 19 pts among those voters who have already voted.
Reliable past performances like this lend credibilty to Pew's latest poll.Even if they are off by 3 to 5 points, a 15 to 16 pt Obama lead has to make the GOP depressed.
Stuff this Rasmussen.
