Major Kudos to HighWind who got the video!
I have to say that I thought at first I'd died and gone to Heaven. Because I turned on Keith Olbermann and Mathews was talking about Obama's speech.
Matthews was calling out those racists who might refuse to vote for Obama because he's black.
I'm going to type in approximately what Matthews said and update the diary later with the transcript and video.
First.
Obama is the American dream.
He's a good dad. He followed the rules. He worked hard. He's integral to his family and he is involved in his family's life as a bread earner but also as a vital part of their loving family.
He worked hard to go to college and to improve his lot in life.
So anyone who would vote against him just because he's black needs to think twice!
Barack is fighting to help families. To give the middle class a break! Things like jobs and healthcare.
Ok. So my first "breaking" diary. But I think it's important that all of us call out the racists, too!
Update: Until I can find a transcript and video, I'll update with other peoples' quotes from the show.

Matthews got the very personal meme out that 'this candidate is exactly what we aim to be, a great father, industrious, and dedicated to his community and country.'
Chris Matthews rose to the moment by asking the question to an 'America that has always been bothered by race:' What more do you want of any candidate, black, brown, or white?
