I know this has been talked about, and currently there is an entire section devoted to the various Republican sex scandals over the years here on Daily Kos. For those who haven't seen it, I'll include a couple of quick snippets.
2008:
Matthew Joseph Elliott, former aide to Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, was convicted of sexual exploitation of a child
2007:
Robert "Bob" Allen, Florida state Rep. Arrested in the afternoon at a Veteran's Memorial Park for solicitation of prostitution from an undercover male officer inside a restroom. According to the papers Bob "offer[ed] to perform oral sex for $20". Bob Later claimed that his offer had something to do with his being afraid of black people
2006:
Mark Foley, Republican Representative, Florida Sixteenth Congressional District. Resigned after trying to solicit sex from male congressional pages via an instant messenger program. The conversations included his asking a sixteen-year-old "stud" whether his penis was erect and requesting that he take out and measure his penis. The cover-up involved Republican House Majority Leader John Boehner, Ohio Eighth Congressional District and Republican House Speaker Dennis Hastert, Illinois Fourteenth District.
2005:
Neal Horsley has called for the arrest of all homosexuals. During an interview with Alan Colmes on the Fox News Radio's The Alan Colmes Show, he admitted to having engaged in sex with a mule at age 11. "When you grow up on a farm in Georgia, your first girlfriend is a mule," he said. He then credited Jesus with forgiving and cleansing him of his "sin."
The list is long and even includes escapades of one George W. Bush. I'm not trying to say that the Democratic party is pure, for we have made our own share of mistakes, however the down-right perverse behaviour of "The Moral Majority" amazes me. These stories are ones that we know about, so I'm sure the amount we don't know is tripled. I firmly believe that what is done in the dark, eventually comes to light. They all seem to try to find some association with Barack Obama to try to bring him down. Limbaugh, with his dependency on Oxycontin, and Lord only knows what Sean Hannity is hiding. The hypocritical behaviour of Republicans, in my opinion, is why their party is Seriously Fractured, Flawed, and frankly Full of shit!
