Why is it that the major constituents of the Republicans are the poor rednecks in the "heartland"?

You would think that the "socialist" Democrats would be better for them...

Why is it that the NY and LA bigwigs and socialites like Dems more than the Republicans?

You would think that these wealthy people would be better served by the Republicans.

I can think of only ONE reason: Stupidity.

These East and West Coast bigwigs and socialites are educated enough to know that, as a society, Dems are better. Thus their preference.

But these rednecks in the heartland? They are so stupid that they actually buy into the rightwing religious fanatic and fear-mongering jerkoffs.

No wonder the Republicans vote against education. They want to keep the people stupid. Stupid like Palin the cow.
