Just a few minutes ago, my father called me, in what I thought would be a "good luck" call or "I hope you voted" call. It wasn't. My dad told me he voted for Obama.
For months, he has been championing McCain in our political talks. Though he supported Romney in the primaries, he supported McCain on the basis of fiscal conservative values, saying Obama would raise taxes, ect.
But in the end, he found it in himself to vote for Obama. He cited his leadership ability, his poise, and, most of all, his ability to finally heal race relations in the United States.
I'm fired up. I really feel like we can take this thing, you guys. Let's do it.
