Breaking News on CNBC.

Down goes the old bull and his anti climate change supporters.

Waxman is a true believer. He believes in fixing our climate problems and is a much better fit for the position.

Progressives may have lost the battle with Lieberman, but we won the battle over Climate Change and John Dingell as Waxman is the next Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.

One interesting tidbit from the article:

In a secret-ballot vote in the Cannon Caucus Room, House Democrats ratified an earlier decision by the Steering and Policy Committee to replace the 82-year-old Dingell with his 69-year-old rival. The vote was 137-122 in favor of Waxman.

UPDATE 2:

CNBC is spewing Dingell BS. They just showed a GM chart and said, look, it's down $.70 thanks to the news about Dingell losing that just came out.

Well if you look at the chart, that just isn't true. In the last 10 minutes, it has actually gone slightly up.
