One interesting tidbit from the article:
In a secret-ballot vote in the Cannon Caucus Room, House Democrats ratified an earlier decision by the Steering and Policy Committee to replace the 82-year-old Dingell with his 69-year-old rival. The vote was 137-122 in favor of Waxman.
UPDATE 2:
CNBC is spewing Dingell BS. They just showed a GM chart and said, look, it's down $.70 thanks to the news about Dingell losing that just came out.
Well if you look at the chart, that just isn't true. In the last 10 minutes, it has actually gone slightly up.
