Let the problematic post-win racial rhetoric begin. Over on Fox, Nader says that Obama can either be an "Uncle Sam," or an "Uncle Tom."
Video below the fold.
Ralph Nader needs to SHFPH. Note to anyone who is supposed to be "progressive:" if you're on Fox News giving post-election analysis, you've gone over to the dark side.
Case in point:
If even the Fox news commentator tears into Ralph Nader for asking if Barack Obama is going to be an Uncle Tom then you know Nader has descended into the dark side.
When asked if using the phrase "uncle Tom" was out of order, Nader says "not at all."
Speaking of other crazy things people are saying, John Dickerson over at Slate suggests yesterday that one of the things Obama can do if he wants to signal that his presidency is going to be different is to forgo pay.
Does this strike anyone else as utterly absurd? The first African American President of the United States must work for FREE? So in other words, what Dickerson would like to see happen is for Barack Obama to become a slave to the nation?
Be prepared for other idiotic, fearful statements that come from a place of not wanting to embrace what a truly transcendent victory this is.
