I was fixing a PC (that's my job - IT guy) when I noticed the person who was having spam problems had a cool Obama-Biden button on her coat (she had just come into her office).

I said "I like your button," and then remarked that it was a great feeling to be looking forward to an Obama Presidency. Then I said, "When will you take it off?"
Her answer was simple - "I like wearing it - it makes me feel hopeful again - maybe not until the inauguration."
That was it for me.
The next day, I was wearing my Obama button again.
During the campaign, I had purchased a button machine, which I lent to the local Obama office - they made over 1,500 buttons to be given away during canvassing.
But my first button was "store-bought" online at barackobama.com.

I eventually gave this to friend who lived in Virginia - she was really happy to wear it everywhere.
It was replaced by another lapel pin - which I wore everyday at my job.

So who else is going through "Obama-gear withdrawal?"
I say we all pledge to wear something Obama-related until at least January 20th, 2009 - are you with me?
