Even at this late point in the lame duck Bush presidency, the gall of Karl Rove never ceases to amaze me. It's not suprising to me that he continues to back up his old boss. What does surprise me, however, is that he continues to act as though George Bush's popularity remains at 70% as opposed to 22%. It also amazes me that a supposedly brilliant strategist as he actually thinks that ANYONE cares if they are named as someone who believes that Bush was and is an illegitimate president after the theft of 25 electoral points in Florida in 2000. According to the Austin American-Statesman, Rove thinks we're all quaking in our boots.

Also reserved for between the covers of Rove's book is his checklist of the "great many of the political actors in this town (who) never accepted him as a legitimate president."

"I've got behind-the-scenes episodes that are going to show how unreceiving they were of this man as president of the United States," Rove said, adding: "I'm going to name names and show examples."

Hey Karl, I'm not in Washington, but if you want a list of names of people who believe your boss in illegitimate, you can start with mine. The only difference between me and the people you cite is that I never did it behind the scenes. I called "theft" in 2000 and I will call it a theft as long as I live. The only shred of credibility he can possibly claim is from the Supreme Court we're his dad's appointing, Clarence Thomas, made the key vote to hand him the reigns of power. And judging by attempts to de-legitimize Barack Obama's election, your people are still at it. Add my name Karl, make me an "example". Make my monkey ass famous.
