on December 23, Dennis Prager wrote a column titled, "When a Woman Isn't In the Mood, Part I". It contained the following paragraph:
It is an axiom of contemporary marital life that if a wife is not in the mood, she need not have sex with her husband. Here are some arguments why a woman who loves her husband might want to rethink this axiom.
I had two thoughts after reading this:
1.) Disbelief that someone actually thinks this way, and
2.) Disbelief that any organization would actually provide a forum for this person to talk
There is no defense for the above statement. None. Nada. If a woman says no, that is the end of the discussion. She does not have to change her mind if she does not want to regardless of the reasons. To argue otherwise is to treat women as property.
Mr. Prager has demonstrated he cares only about his own pleasure; he could care less about the feelings of his partner. If this were a single person talking in a social situation I would simply move away and find other conversation. However, Mr. Prager is a nationally syndicated radio host and Townhall.com columnist. He is important in the conservative world. As such, people who allow Mr. Prager to use their forum to spew this garbage need to be held accountable for what Mr. Prager says. To that end, I have written a letter to Townhall.com. Here is a copy of that letter:

I am deeply offended that your organization -- which is supposed to promote family values -- is allowing this man a forum to present such an antiquated idea of male/female relationships. I am demanding an apology from Mr. Prager and a a retraction of this story by Townhall.com.
If you feel the same way I do, I would encourage you to do the same.
