Ten days ago, the Diary's section of DKos were chock full of "Breaking News" from diarists posting results from polling companies such as Zogby, ARG and Rasmussen that didn't deserve to be placed anywhere other than the trash can. These were all "supposedly accurate" polls that showed Obama crushing Hillary in primary states on Super Tuesday. Well, we all know how that worked out....Hillary won California, Massachusetts and New Jersey, upending those three pollsters and justly embarrassing them.
Markos..have you learned your lesson about posting results from right wing evangelical pollsters like Scott Rasmussen or the equally generic Zogby, who never gets much of anything correct? Diarists...have you learned your lesson yet that a poll is not "Breaking News"?
14 polling firms have polled 4 or more contests, and are designated as "active" election pollsters. Here’s a report card on the 14 most active 2008 election pollsters, ranked from smallest average error to largest average error (where smaller error is better, and zero is perfect). A separate, previous post, shows the same set of data for all 38 pollsters, not just the active ones.
