If you haven't had a chance to read it yet, go check out MSNBC Has Sparked a Women's Uprising written by Alegre, and you'll understand why I'm so pissed.
http://www.dailykos.com/...
First, it was Chris Mathews offering a lame apology for his mysogynist comments against Hillary Clinton, and now it's David Shuster gagging out a forced "I'm sorry" statement for his hateful language against Chelsea Clinton and her parents.
I've had enough.
So here's what I'm doing. Please feel free to join me.
I'll be sending MSNBC an email telling them that their channel is now blocked on my television set. But that's not all. The only way to really hurt the Boys Club of the MSM is to kick them hard where it hurts the most.
In their wallets.
As long as MSNBC, and the rest of the MSM are dependent on advertising money, they're dependent on female consumers. And believe me when I tell you, that's a a tsunami-sized force to be reckoned with. Who buys the groceries? Who spends money on clothing, not just for us, but for our familes? Who decides what household products are going to be used? What appliances will be bought, how our living spaces will be furnished, decorated, and cleaned? Hell, we buy cars, choose vacation spots, invest money; you name it and we spend money on it.
You want this shit to end, you have to work to end it. Here's the beginning of a list of advertisers I copied off the MSNBC website.
Dermitage (for the skin. Ha! Not exactly a guy's product)
Kaplan (Who do you think books these tutors for the kids?)
Monster.com (We're 50% of the workforce AND we hire too!)
PerfectMatch.com (Women keep this business running)
JustListed.com (We own and buy houses too)
Entrepeneur.com (We buy magazines also)
Scottrade.com (I own stocks, my husband doesn't)
SeniorsForLiving.com (How many women are taking care of elderly parents?)
AARP (We retire too)
And don't forget to add GE to this list also---That's the conglomerate that owns MSNBC. I think this handsome guy might appreciate a little note also.

He's Jeff Immelt who's Chairman and CEO, and here's his mailing address:
GE's Corporate Headquarters
General Electric Company
3135 Easton Turnpike
Fairfield, CT 06828-0001
So after I write that little email to MSNBC, and drop a love note (not!) off to Jeff, I'm going to cc a copy of it to each one of these advertisers. Please feel free to join me. Here's their email addresses and contact information:

I'm sending one sweet little email to each and every one of these businesses
to let them know that MSNBC is biased against women, and I not only won't be watching, but I
won't be supporting the companies that advertise there.
Short and sweet.
Boycott power of the purse.
