Dear Geraldine:
It's OK to have bad feelings about the other candidate when you are involved in a hotly contested political race. When Baby Bop and BJ play ball, sometimes they get very mad at each other. They both want to win. But that is no excuse to get mean. It's not nice to say that someone has success just because of their race.
The Democrats should try to be a happy family. We can compete against each other, but we shouldn't hurt each other. When Baby Bop is mean to BJ, she has to apologize. That usually makes things better.
It would be nice of you to say sorry to Obama. When we are adults, we should learn to take responsibility for our words and actions. Hurtful words are not nice.
While you get timeout from the Clinton campaign, I hope that you think carefully about what you have said.
Sincerely,
Barney
