Thankfully, the ad begins and END with McCain, showing that he is prepared to keep moving the goalpost with the same exact b.s. that's been spouted by him, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Lindsay Graham, and the entire Republican party for years now. Victory is always just around the corner, if we (American soldiers made to go back for tour after tour, that is) just tough it out a little while longer, despite the American and Iraqi lives being blown apart.
One feature of the ad I didn't notice at first are the tickers of money and lives wasted, on the left and right respectively, which keep going up as McCain, Bush, and company keep trotting out the same boilerplate "crucial time for victory" blather.
It's necessarily a short ad, and that's a good thing. Tragically, it could have included dozens or hundreds more instances of Republicans and their media allies telling us that all will be sorted out in Iraq soon. Like, six months, for instance.
Please spread this ad far and wide.
P.S. Oh, and in honor of the "Friedman Unit," remember, we went over to Iraq for one reason only: we had to tell SOME Arab-types, SOMEWHERE to "SUCK ON THIS:" (Mr. Flat World really gets going around 2:00.)
