- Obama introduces a tremendous group of Democratic heavy-weights: Al Gore, Jimmy Carter, John Edwards, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Steny Hoyer, others. They enthusiastically endorse, and they spread to every remaining state.
- Clinton calls a press conference. She announces Barack Obama and she have reached a deal: after much discussion of disagreements and policy differences, she will accept the position of Vice President in the Obama White House. Barack Obama comes to the podium, and they both declare a new campaign to defeat John McSame.
Perhaps 1 will be controversial. Let the people vote, maybe it detracts from focus on Obama, or looks like big leaders usurping voters, etc.
2 will be controversial. But remember how we've tried to maintain that we would vote for either over McCain in the general. Why NOT put this behind us and support that lineup? Some will be of the opinion that there's too much water under the bridge now, too much distrust/dislike, or that Bill Clinton will be too big a problem.
I am of the opinion that this has to end soon though. It really does.
Please don't flame me. I'm just exhausted.
