OK, KOSsacks, it's time to start attaching Cornyn's name to Hagee's, just as we have attached McCain's name to Bush and Hagee. Rick Noriega is within striking distance of unseating Cornyn in November.
Democratic Party spokesman Hector Nieto said Cornyn should do the same.
"The Texas Democratic Party would hope to see Sen. Cornyn do the right thing and denounce Hagee’s comments, but after watching Cornyn vote lock-step for President Bush and Karl Rove’s radical agenda for the last eight years, no one here is holding their breath," he said.
Here is what Cornyn’s spokesperson has to say about Hagee:
"Senator Cornyn values highly Pastor Hagee’s work in a number of areas," Kevin McLaughlin said. "He obviously does not agree with statements viewed as anti-Catholic."
If Cornyn doesn’t agree with the statements, why doesn't he say so publicly rather than sending one of his surrogates out to do so for him?
Cornyn is a despicable Bush boot-licking coward, that's why.
It's time the media stop giving Republicans like McCain and Cornyn free passes when they seek out endorsements of hate mongers/teachers like Hagee and Parsley.
John Cornyn is "W"rong for Texas and "W"rong for America.
Oh..by the way, the other Senator from Texas, Kay Baily Hutchison, blithely referred to as "Einstein" by some of her senate colleagues is very snuggly with Hagee, too. Isn't that a beautiful quartet? McBush, Hagee, Cornyn and Hutchison. Sometimes, I wish they'd just give Texas back to Mexico, no offense meant to Texas Democrats!!
