Via Real Clear Politics comes a reaction from Chuck Todd:
Morning Joe - Chuck Todd, on MoveOn.org's anti-McCain ad: "It was a borderline shameless ad. Using a baby like that. ... That's an ad that strikes me as one that's going to backfire a lot, not a little."
And someone named Tom says:
TOM ADDS: Chuck called the ad "borderline shameless," I'll go ahead and second that opinion but without the caveat "borderline." The ad would have some relevance - I repeat, some relevance - if John McCain was advocating reinstating the draft. But he isn't.
I have an eleven month old baby boy, too, as well as a nine year old boy and a five year old girl. If upon turning eighteen and becoming adults, any of them decided they wanted to serve our country by joining the Armed Forces, I would have nothing but pride and respect for their decision - as I have for every young man and young woman who makes that personal choice. Unfortunately, Moveon.org and other members of the far left don't share the same pride for those who choose to serve America in uniform.(OT that's a little partisan for a supposedly non partisan blog, don't you think?)
I'm sure that more reviews will be coming in, especially after the ad starts airing nationally. But I wanted to get the DKos perspective.
