PAC for a Change, led by Sen. Barbara Boxer, seeks to support progressive leaders who will reshape Washington's partisan ways. The winner of the PAC for a Change "Choose a Challenger" contest will be featured in a national email to thousands of potential new supporters. Winning this contest could raise tens of thousands of dollars from grassroots activists across the country, so your vote is critical to helping make this Andrew Rice's best financial quarter to date.
Certainly, there are a lot of worthy candidates Sen. Boxer has submitted for your support. But, even beyond the fact that I live in Oklahoma and work on Sen. Rice's campaign, I know of at least five good reasons why you should vote for Andrew.
Top five reasons are below the fold.
- Jim Inhofe is the king of partisan extremism. He'd rather play Washington games for his own gain than fight for the issues Oklahomans care about. On the political spectrum, Inhofe is described as "radical Republican." He pulls stunts rather than engaging in debate. Inhofe is just the kind of entrenched politician that the PAC for a Change was created to fight.
- Bang for your buck. Media in Oklahoma costs less than in nearly any other state. The thousands that the PAC for a Change could raise for Andrew Rice would go a long way toward making sure Oklahomans know him and hear his message.
- Andrew Rice is more than "anyone but Inhofe." He's a true progressive, and he's everything Inhofe isn't. His entry into public service followed years of divinity training, missionary work and non-profit development. Rice listens to voters and cares deeply about their issues.
- Gamesmanship gets nothing done, and nobody knows this better than Andrew Rice. The Oklahoma state Senate has been in a 24-24 tie since 2006, and in order to get anything accomplished, Andrew Rice has learned that reaching across the aisle in the interest of good governance is not a bad thing. Stubbornness doesn't get things done in government; it only gets you gridlock.
And the number one reason to vote for Andrew Rice is...
